Skin care

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. And not only beauty, but also the health of the whole organism depends on its condition.
The skin is in a state of constant work throughout a person’s life (an average of 18 kg of keratinized and newly replaced skin during a person’s life). With a total area of 1.5 square meters, the skin hosts about 5 million hairs, 100 pores and 200 receptors per centimeter. Skin condition largely depends on age, nutrition and lifestyle. And, of course, her healthy and blooming appearance is the result of good health and constant care. The face is the most exposed part of the skin, and therefore it needs special and constant care.
The most understandable and popular approach to the issue of skin care for the face and body has long been the principle of dividing skin into types. The main ones among them are normal, dry, oily and combination skin types. Still, as a separate type, aging skin can be distinguished, so caring for it requires a special approach. So, let’s look at the main types of skin and find out what important principles in caring for it you need to know to be beautiful and healthy.
Dry skin
Dry skin — thin, sluggish, pale, with insufficient number of blood vessels, with wrinkles and folds, often flaky.
Even teenagers can develop wrinkles on the cheeks, under the eyes and at the corners of the mouth. With dry skin, breaking lines of capillaries appear, peeling, dry spots, redness, inflamed in the cold.
The sebaceous glands do not secrete enough oil, and the skin becomes dehydrated. Dry skin should be carefully and properly cared for. If this is not done, then wrinkles will appear. For washing, use only boiled or softened brown water. If possible, you should do without soap; do not use toilet water containing alcohol.
Wipe your face with warm sunflower oil. Cleanse the skin with a cream, then remove the rest of the cream with a very mild tonic, such as rose water or herbal tincture (decoction). Wash your face with water and cleanse it well. If you are afraid that you will overdry the skin, apply a sufficiently large amount of moisturizer. Try washing with milk. Instead of soap, you can use almond or oatmeal (oatmeal).
For this type of skin, nutrition and protection are very important. Don’t go out at night without a moisturizer. If the skin is very dry, restore it with a rich nourishing cream, remove its excess after about 20 minutes. You need to know that the skin absorbs the required amount of cream in 10 minutes, and excess fat only clogs the pores.
Dry skin care.
Dry skin is highly sensitive to adverse effects. It is devoid of shine, quickly loses elasticity, wrinkles on dry skin appear early. When caring for such skin, the main thing is regular nutrition and hydration, protecting it from sunlight. Cleanse dry skin 2 times a day.
In the morning, dry skin of the face and neck is cleansed with liquid cream, vegetable oil, toilet milk. Then they wipe the face with a tonic infusion of linden blossom, marshmallow root, and flaxseed. A cream is applied to wet skin, after 15-20 minutes the excess cream is removed with a paper towel.
In the evening, the face is cleansed with cosmetic milk or cream. After cleansing the skin, a rich nourishing cream containing vitamins is applied to it.
With dry skin, it is necessary to make nourishing and moisturizing masks at least twice a week.
normal skin
Normal skin is fresh, tight, firm, well vascularised, free of large pores, non-greasy, clean (no blemishes), velvety, smooth and supple.
Sometimes, pustules may appear in women before menstruation, since during this period there is an increased production of hormones, which increases the activity of the sebaceous glands, but for people with normal skin, pustules and acne are not a problem.
To clean it, you need warm water and non-alkaline soap. Instead of soap, you can use wheat bran. After washing, rinse your face with cold water with the addition of a small amount of borax.
In the morning, wash your face with plain water, soap, bran or rose water. In the evening, remove make-up with a cleansing cream and apply a toning cream to soften the skin. Use moisturizer under powder.
Normal skin care
Cleanse your skin 2 times a day. After washing, wipe the skin of the face with toilet water, lotion, infusion of herbs. Lotions have an antiseptic, astringent, anti-inflammatory effect, tone the skin. Apply cream to still damp skin. It protects the skin from wind, sun, dust. Apply a cream on your face, even if you are not going to leave the house in the morning. After 10-15 minutes, remove the excess cream with a cosmetic tissue.
In the evening, first clean the skin of the face and neck from make-up, then wash it with soap, and then wipe the skin with lotion and apply a nourishing cream.
It is recommended to make a nourishing mask once a week. The procedure for performing the procedures is as follows: first they wash their face, then they make a compress or a steam bath, and then a mask.
Oily skin
Oily skin — glossy, rough, earthy in color. Excessive sebum, combined with torn skin flakes and dust, forms plugs in the openings of the sebaceous glands («black dots»), acne easily appears on the skin, which can become inflamed. Sometimes it looks like an orange peel.
Oily skin needs to be cleansed more often than other types of skin. Face with oily skin should be washed 3 times a day with soap and water. In the evening, remove makeup residue with a cleansing cream.
Use mild toning lotions that increase blood circulation and improve skin texture. Moisturizing oily skin is not necessary, but a non-greasy moisturizer can be used during the day.
Oily skin care
The most important thing for oily skin is its regular cleansing, the use of products that normalize the activity of the sebaceous glands, as well as increase the skin’s resistance to infection. Oily skin is cleansed 2 times a day.
Soap should not be too caustic, and water should not be too hard. After washing, rinse your face with cold water, to which vinegar or lemon juice is added. A steam bath and compresses work well on oily skin.
For washing in the morning and evening, use fermented milk products or oatmeal. After washing, wipe the skin with lotion, brewing tea, water infusion of calendula, sage, oak bark, coltsfoot.
Oily skin needs moisturizing and nourishing creams. It is recommended to make whitening and cleansing masks twice a week.
With oily, porous skin prone to irritation, it is useful to wash your face in the morning with a chilled infusion of tea. With enlarged pores, it is recommended to use creams and water with the addition of lemon or cucumber juice, protein masks with the addition of the same juices; instead of water, it is better to wash your face with unboiled milk.
Combination skin
To care for such skin follows, as for two different types of skin. Dry skin is usually on the cheeks, oily — in the central part of the face: forehead, nose, chin. Oily skin areas should be cleaned with astringent and tonic lotions, while cheeks require the same care as dry skin.
Combination skin care
Combination skin — mixed type — is most common. In young, middle-aged women, in places of increased sebum secretion (forehead, nose, chin), the skin is usually oily. On the temples, cheeks, neck and especially around the eyes — dry. Mixed skin type requires different ways of caring for different parts.
Such skin does not tolerate water and soap well. Therefore, we recommend in the morning to cleanse the face and neck with decoctions of herbs: calendula, mint, sage, and in the evening use cleansing creams, chamomile infusion, tea with milk. First, wipe the skin 2-3 times with a cotton swab dipped in whole milk, and then moisten the face abundantly with milk diluted in half with tea. After washing, dry your face with a napkin, wipe your nose and chin with lotion and apply a universal nourishing cream. It is possible and so — on oily areas, apply cream and mask for oily skin, and on dry areas — cream and mask for dry skin. Apply creams every time after washing, and make masks once a week.
aging skin
If a woman does not take care of her skin, then she looks older than her age. In our time, when knowledge of practical cosmetics is expanding, one should not neglect the recommendations of cosmetologists. Nothing draws attention to a woman like a beautiful, fresh, well-groomed face.
Women usually expect some kind of push that would make them look after their appearance, but they catch on when the time for this has already passed. You should carefully examine your face without makeup in front of a mirror in good light. Even the most flawless skin has imperfections, such as dry or oily areas, oily spots, clogged pores, uneven color, allergic phenomena. The skin is constantly exposed to weather and other phenomena, polluted air, nervous tension, insomnia, tranquilizers, sun, wind. All these factors greatly accelerate the aging process. Every woman should take care of her face: cleanse, tone, moisturize and nourish the skin.
Aging skin care
With aging skin, the first signs of which may already appear in those who have crossed the 35-year milestone, focus on the use of products that nourish and moisturize the skin, stimulate its metabolism.
In the morning, immediately after waking up, wipe the skin of the face, hands and neck with cosmetic milk and apply cream or lubricate the face with sour cream or kefir for 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes, wash off the mask with a strong jet of water from the shower at a temperature pleasant for the body. And then wipe the skin of the face, neck, chest with a piece of ice in quick circular motions. It is better to start wiping with a single, gradually increasing to 5-7 times. Lastly, apply cream. After 15 minutes, remove excess cream with a paper towel.
For evening cleansing of aging skin, infusions of chamomile, mint, St. John’s wort, sage or lime blossom, orange or lemon juice, diluted in half with water, are recommended. After washing, apply a nourishing cream to damp skin using a cotton swab dipped in salted water, infusion of herbs, juice of berries, fruits or vegetables. After 30-40 minutes, remove excess cream with a paper towel.
Apply the cream every time after washing, and make masks 2-3 times a week. To get the greatest effect from the use of creams and masks, alternate them. Variety will only benefit.
And always remember how old your skin looks, how old you look. We wish health and beauty to your skin!
