Charcot shower

It is with Charcot’s soul that doctors and cosmetologists advise starting the use of therapeutic showers. It is one of the best remedies for many health and beauty related problems.

Hydrotherapy is a term that has long been used in the fields of medicine and cosmetology. This is a process of body treatment and figure correction, which is directly related to the external impact of fresh water on certain parts of the human body. Charcot shower is one of the most popular hydrotherapy procedures today.

What it is?

The procedure causes conflicting feelings among those who have already managed to get acquainted with it. Some say that it is pleasant, some complain of slight discomfort. But unambiguously, both of them agree that the results that a person receives after using Charcot’s soul exceed all expectations.

So what is this shower? The procedure lasts approximately 10-15 minutes and consists of two conditional stages. At the first stage, a hot (about 40 degrees) jet of water is directed at you from a distance of 3 to 5 meters under a pressure of about 3-4 atmospheres (the pressure is adjusted by the doctor individually, depending on the sensations and indications). Further, with the help of this jet, certain parts of the body are massaged. There are several types of movements during massage: fanning, circular, ascending, jerking (when, due to a sharp change in pressure, you feel something like a push).

At the second stage of the Charcot shower procedure, the water jet is significantly cooled (up to approximately 32 degrees) and its pressure increases. This stage is necessary for the contrast of temperatures, which leads to the tone of the skin, blood vessels and muscles. The second stage lasts a little less than the first to exclude the possibility of hypothermia.

For a noticeable effect, about 10-20 procedures are prescribed, which are carried out every two to three days (in some cases, every day). After the end of the course, it is recommended to consolidate the effect by going through several procedures for taking hydromassage baths. The course is recommended to be repeated every six months.

Charcot’s shower: effect on the body

There are many indications for the procedure. Needless to say, 15 minutes of massage in Charcot’s shower completely relieve muscle tension and tone the whole body? The procedure improves blood circulation throughout the body and skin condition, deprives problem areas of cellulite, and also contributes to weight regulation.
Charcot’s shower increases the level of active oxygen in human tissues and blood, improves the functioning of blood vessels.

Among the main indications can be listed:

  • nervous disorders, psychosis, depression
  • some cardiovascular diseases
  • decreased immunity (hardening)
  • diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system (hernia, osteochondrosis, some diseases of the joints, rehabilitation of patients after injuries)
  • diseases of the internal organs
  • metabolic disease
  • obesity
  • lymph problems, etc.

Charcot shower: contraindications

Strict contraindications for the Charcot shower procedure include pregnancy, cardiovascular and venous pathologies, hypertension, certain types of skin diseases (in which contact with water worsens the condition).

In addition to the basic ones for taking a Charcot shower, there are some partial contraindications. Among them are varicose veins and oncology. In this case, you should “skip” problem areas with a jet.

It should also be remembered that after the first procedures there are bruises, especially in people with delicate and sensitive skin. But after 2-4 procedures, they completely disappear.

In any case, we should not forget that any treatment, including all types of hydrotherapy, must be prescribed by a doctor.

Useful soul to you!
