Rules of intimate hygiene for women. Part 1

[ad_1]

Intimate hygiene of a woman is an important attribute of daily personal care. The right approach will help you not only stay fresh, but also avoid many ailments.

Unfortunately, in the countries of the post-Soviet space, the issue of women’s intimate hygiene is not widely covered. After all, more recently, sex, and everything connected with it, the inhabitants of the USSR preferred not to discuss. The union broke up, and habits still do not always allow us to speak frankly on intimate topics. Such «secrecy» leads to the fact that most girls, women and grandmothers limit personal hygiene to the elementary process of washing the genitals. And not proper self-care leads to a decrease in immunity to possible inflammatory processes. As a result, the fair sex become hostages of various «personal» diseases, not even realizing that they themselves were the culprits of the ailment.

To avoid all these troubles, you just need to get acquainted with the rules of intimate hygiene for women and follow them. So what should you pay attention to so that “female” problems do not bother you, and the feeling of freshness does not leave you?

We wash ourselves correctly

The most important guarantee of cleanliness is regular washing of the genitals. However, to follow such a seemingly familiar procedure should also be “wisely”. Washing so many delicate zones has its own characteristics, including:

Washing agent

In no case should you use soap as a means of caring for the genitals. The main rule of a woman’s intimate hygiene is: «Do not overdry!» Or rather, do not dry the skin in the intimate area. Soap disturbs the acid-base balance of the vagina. This leads not only to a feeling of discomfort, but also to the appearance of cracks and irritations on the mucous membrane, as well as to more serious problems with frequent and regular use.

Therefore, for daily care, use special gels for intimate feminine hygiene. They gently cleanse the skin of impurities. And thanks to special additives, they additionally disinfect the skin in the intimate area and fight against a specific smell. Also in modern cosmetic stores, you can easily find products to help deal with more localized problems. So, for example, the intimate hygiene of a woman during menstruation or the treatment of «intimate» diseases requires additional moisture. After all, the washing process is carried out more often. On the shelves, you can find products marked «extra moisturizing» or «in the treatment of thrush.» Choose what suits you. And don’t use generics. The more thorough the approach, the better the result.

Water procedures

First, wash the genitals with warm (not hot) water. The intimate area is very sensitive, and by choosing the wrong temperature, you can not only give yourself discomfort, but also injure your delicate skin. Also, the hotter the water, the more it dries out the skin. But you should not arrange «hardening» for the genitals and follow the principle «the colder the better.» In this case, you will not only get a lot of sharp, far from the most pleasant sensations, but also run the risk of earning a “female” cold.

Secondly, when washing the genitals, direct the stream of water exclusively in the direction from the pubis to the back of the perineum. This will help prevent infection in the vagina.

Thirdly, without medical recommendations and indications, you should not douche. If you are healthy, then the inside of the genitals can cope with cleansing on its own. Wash only the visible surface.

Fourthly, the rules of women’s intimate hygiene do not provide for the use of washcloths. Not in any way. Even gentle friction in the intimate area can cause irritation. You can fully cope with cleansing by performing gentle movements with your fingers. Naturally, hands should be thoroughly washed before the procedure.

Using a towel

Needless to say, a towel is as personal as a toothbrush? And for the intimate hygiene of women, this thesis is especially relevant. Choose a small towel that will be specifically for the genitals. It should be soft and tender. Bath towels are not suitable, as their pile is often too hard for the delicate skin of the intimate area.

After the washing procedure, do not thoroughly wipe the vagina. It is enough to get your skin wet. This will help to avoid mechanical irritation.

Often or rarely?

Ideally, the genitals should be washed after each use of the toilet. But if this is not possible, perform the procedure 2-3 times a day, and the rest of the time use wet wipes for women’s intimate hygiene.
