Clean face or washing rules

Learning how to wash properly doesn’t hurt anyone. After all, such a simple procedure is the basis of the daily process of facial skin care.

In the list of facial skin care procedures, washing is considered by many to be an intermediate process that does not require special attention. After all, you don’t need to do anything complicated — wash your face with water, lather, rinse. And sometimes, even a cleanser is not specially selected by many, but they use the usual and long-familiar soap. Moreover, when choosing, being motivated not even by the composition or purposes indicated on the package, but by the aroma, shape or appearance of the piece.

However, a careless attitude to the washing procedure can lead not only to a feeling of dryness and tightness of the skin, but also to serious dermatological problems. To avoid this, following just two simple rules of washing will help you, which will give you a healthy, beautiful and clean face.

Rule 1. Clean face without mechanical damage

This rule means that during the washing process, the skin should not be subjected to mechanical stress, which can be caused by the following factors:

temperature difference

Contrast procedures are good for the skin, but you should know the measure in everything. This means that you should not start washing your face with very hot or very cold water. This is especially true for moments when your skin temperature is significantly different from normal (for example, hypothermia after a long walk in winter or “burning” skin after being on the beach). The procedure of washing with a very sharp change in temperature can and will provide you with a clean face, but at the same time it will certainly lead to peeling, inflammation and, if repeated regularly, will cause a relapse of chronic diseases, if any occurred before.

Try to start washing with water that is only a few degrees different from your skin temperature. And if you want to do a contrast wash, then start from the initial temperature very carefully and gradually, let the skin get used to each stage of the changes.

Face friction

You can use scrubs while washing only a few times a week. Also, while scrubbing your face, stick to the massage lines and don’t try to rub your skin fanatically. Modern means allow you to make your face clean and get rid of dead skin particles, just by lightly massaging your face. Regular strong friction on the scrub can lead to mechanical damage to the skin, inflammation and even early aging.

Also, you should not rub your face, using the usual mild means to remove contaminants (soap, gels, foams). Constant stretching of the skin will definitely not affect it favorably.

Wiping the face

After washing your face, lightly blot your face with a towel or napkin. The face «does not like» when it is rubbed. Such procedures will lead to peeling and damage to the upper layer of the epidermis.

Needless to say, a face towel should be soft, personal, and not used to wipe other parts of the body?

Rule 2. A clean face with the «right» makeup.clean face

Wash your face two to three times a day. The optimal amount depends on the time of year and the degree of pollution. After all, frequent washing leads to drying of the skin, the destruction of the natural fat balance. Infrequent washing, in turn, leads to skin pollution, clogged pores and, as a result, dermatological problems.

However, no matter how many times a day you cleanse your face, you should do it only with the help of cosmetics that are right for you. Today, cosmetics manufacturers offer a huge variety of foams, gels and soaps. And in order not to get confused in this variety, choose cosmetics, focusing on your skin type. Only in this case, a fresh and clean face will always be radiant and beautiful.

Oily skin

For oily, acne-prone skin, products containing salicylic acid are suitable. Salicylic acid has a weak antiseptic effect, therefore it actively helps to “dry out” acne and inflammation, and get rid of oily sheen.

However, if your skin does not require special treatment, choose products with a low content of salicylic acid (0.5-1%), so as not to cause irritation and inflammation.

Dry skin

For dry skin, choose non-concentrated products. Avoid soaps in favor of gels (slightly diluted with water) and foams. Choose products that include moisturizing ingredients (shea butter, glycerin and vitamin E) and natural antiseptics (chamomile, calendula).

Also, dry skin «loves» soft water. To do this, use pre-frozen and melted or boiled water for washing.

normal skin

The most «non-capricious» is normal skin. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need to take good care of it. Even here, «clear face» is not necessarily synonymous with «healthy face». Wash your face using soft gels, foams, glycerin soap. If the skin is temporarily prone to a particular type of irritation, use products to eliminate this type of problem.

If mechanical irritations appear on the skin, purchase products that include “soothing” ingredients, such as lavender.

Sensitive skin

For sensitive skin, choose products labeled «hypoallergenic». Also suitable for baby bath / wash. It is desirable that it does not contain fragrances, does not have pronounced wests, and does not surprise with too unnatural color.

For sensitive skin, special attention should be paid to the quality of washing off the product from the face. Before wiping the skin, make sure that there is no product left anywhere and that there is no foam on a clean face.

Let washing will give not only cleanliness, but also health to your face!
